An image display device and a method for notifying information are provided to conveniently retrieve specific information in ACAP(Advanced Common Application Platform). Information retrieval unit retrieves predetermined specific code in supplementary data set up by a user(S40). A control unit determines whether the predetermined specific code information set up by a user exists in the retrieved result or not(S50). If it is determined that specific code information exists, the control unit stores text information of a certain range that the specific code information is included(S60). The control unit builds a list that includes the stored text information of the certain range(S70). The control unit determines whether the current time is the predetermined display cycle or the default cycle(S80). If it is determined that the current time is the predetermined display cycle or the default cycle, the control unit displays the text information consisting of list(S90). |
