PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root crop harvester for burying ridge furrows while performing a harvesting work of a crop plant and for suppressing inclinations of a machine body in the transverse directions when travel devices pass the ridge furrows so that the extracting work height of an extracting transport device is hardly varied.SOLUTION: A root crop harvester comprises: right and left travel devices 6L and 6R for running on a farm field; an extracting transport device 24 provided on one transverse side of the machine body for extracting crop plants from the farm field by an extracting and action part at the front part of the machine body and transporting the crop plants; and a groove burying device 214 for gathering soil and burying the ridge furrows. The groove burying device 214 includes a first groove burying member 207a made more oblique toward the rear side of the machine body as it goes more backward, and a second groove burying member 207b having an oblique portion made more closer to one transverse side and a transverse extending portion extending in the transverse directions of the machine body as they go more backward. The first groove burying member 207a and the second groove burying member 207b are overlapped at their end portions, as seen in the front view of the machine body. |
