PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel device for measuring hardness of artery.SOLUTION: A measuring device for a hardness of an artery includes: a relative displacement measuring part for measuring the varying relative displacement of diameter of the artery; a blood pressure measuring part for measuring the varying blood pressure of the artery; an absolute displacement and representative value calculating part for calculating the relative displacement of diameter of the artery and the representative value of deformation resistivity of the artery from these measured relative displacement and blood pressure; and a variation value calculating part for calculating a variation value of deformation resistivity from the calculated absolute displacement.
