PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transport device and an image forming apparatus, performing skew correction and lateral registration correction for a record medium with high accuracy without lowering the productivity of the device.SOLUTION: First detection means 35 is installed for detecting the oblique positional deviation amount of a record medium P, and second detection means 36 is installed for detecting the width direction positional deviation amount of the record medium P. A holding roller 31, which is formed to turn in the oblique direction on the basis of the detection result of the first detection means 35, and formed to move in the width direction on the basis of the detection result of the second detection means 36, is installed to correct the oblique positional deviation amount of the record medium P and correct the width direction positional deviation amount of the record medium P while carrying the record medium P in the holding state. |
