A power transmission device comprises a power transmitting unit for wirelessly transmitting power and a power receiving unit for receiving the power. The power transmitting unit and the power receiving unit are each equipped with a power transmission coil and a dielectric inclusion portion covering the power transmission coil. At least one of the power transmitting unit and the power receiving unit is equipped with an impedance adjustment unit for varying the impedance thereof. Power transmission is performed at a resonance frequency determined by the respective impedances of the power transmitting unit, the power receiving unit, and a conductive medium. |
