摘要 <p>Provided are a powder for forming rare earth magnet and a method for manufacturing rare earth magnet in which the jet mill process is omitted. The method comprises the following steps: 1) strip casting: melt of rare earth magnet alloy is cast by strip casting and the rapidly quenched alloy with average thickness between 0.2 millimeter and 0.4 millimeter is obtained; 2) hydrogen decrepitation: said rapidly quenched alloy is placed into a rotating hydrogen decrepitation container together with several rigid balls, and said rapidly quenched alloy is hydrogen decrepitated under a hydrogen pressure between 0.01MPa and 1MPa. After cooling the material, the powder is obtained by sieving to remove said rigid balls. By promoting the manufacturing process before the jet mill process, omitting the jet mill process, and preventing the oxidization which is inevitable in any case in the jet mill process, the method becomes a substantially non-oxidizing process, and makes the mass production of ultra high-performance magnet possible.</p>
