PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diketopyrrolopyrrole pigment composition particularly for color filter applications which has fine crystals with a narrow particle size distribution excellent in dispersibility etc. and exhibits high heat resistance and excellent cleanness of hue, brilliance and contrast value.SOLUTION: A pigment composition comprising a diketopyrrolopyrrole compound derivative has an average particle size dranging from 10 to 60 nm, less than 5 vol.% of the particles being greater than 70 nm, and can be obtained by reacting 1 mol of a succinic acid diester with 2 mol of a mixture of 4-chlorobenzonitrile and nitrile B-CN represented by the specified formula, where n is a number from 0 to 4 and X is OH, F, Cl, Br, CN, CF3, nitro, a C1-C8 alkyl, a C5-C7 cycloalkyl, a C2-C8 alkenyl, a C1-C8-alkoxy, phenyl or benzyl. |
