PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal print head capable of reducing power consumption by lowering a resistance value of a heat element without increasing heating value needed for printing.SOLUTION: A thermal print head 101 includes: a long belt-like heat element 3; an electrode layer 4 having a specific resistance value smaller than that of the heat element 3. The electrode layer 4 has: a first belt-like electrode 411 that crosses the heat element 3; and a second belt-like electrode 421 that is separated from the first belt-like electrode 411 and crosses the heat element 3. Both the first belt-like electrode 411 and the second belt-like electrode 421 are formed so as to extend in a first direction X that crosses both a long side direction (x direction) and a short side direction (y direction) of the heat element. |
