PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open type disposable diaper capable of reliably preventing lateral leakage of an excretory substance and formed with storage spaces having a sufficient size for storing the excretory substance in front/back waist areas.SOLUTION: Side elastic parts 25 of a chassis 14 include front/back end fixing ends 70 and 71 that are fixed to a main part 65 via front/back end joining areas 68 and 69; and an intermediate part 72 that is not fixed to the main part 65. The disposable diaper includes: in a front waist area 11, a front connection panel 51 that is fixed to the main part 65 via the fron end joining area 68 and connected to inside edges 25a of the side elastic parts 25; and a back connection panel 52 that is continuously formed or separately formed from elastic belt pieces 16 and 17, fixed to the main part 65 via the back end joining area 69, and connected to the inside edges 25a of the side elastic parts 25. The front/back connection panels 51 and 52 have non-fixed areas 75 and 78 respectively that are located between the inside edges 25a of the side elastic parts 25. |
