PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal oxide powder providing excellent appearance persistence such as low shininess, and smooth texture such as good rolling property to a skin when used for various cosmetics.SOLUTION: A metal oxide powder includes particles having: an average circularity of 0.8 or more, and has a specific surface area by a BET method of 400 m/g to 1,000 m/g; a pore volume by a BJH method of 2 ml/g to 8 ml/g; a median size in particle size distribution by a laser diffraction type measurement, in a range of 1 to 50 μm; and less than 0.5 vol% of particles having a particle size of 10 times the median size. As it contains independent particles with spherical shape as main components, it solves the above problem. The metal oxide powder can be obtained by flow chart steps showing as figure 1. |
