PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of determining a cleaning timing of a rotating body included in fixing means with a more simple configuration.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: toner image forming means; a fixing device 50; conveying means for inverting front and rear of a recording material on which a toner image is fixed by the fixing device 50 to re-convey the recording material to the toner image forming means and fixing device 50; execution means CPU 201 that forms a predetermined toner image on one side of a recording material with the toner image forming means and fixes the toner image with the fixing device 50, subsequently inverts front and rear of the recording material with the conveying means to sequentially supply the recording materials to the toner image forming means and fixing device 50, and then clean a pressure rotating body; an integrating means cleaning counter C that integrates the number of times of execution of a one-sided mode to form the toner image only on one side of the recording material; an operation display unit 600 that issues a notification to prompt an operator to execute a cleaning mode when the integrated value becomes equal to or more than a predetermined value; and means CPU 201 that resets the integrated value when the number of times of execution of a double-sided mode reaches a predetermined value, the double-sided mode being to form the toner image on both sides of the recording material. |
