The present invention provides an organic light emitting diode display device including: a timing control unit which receives multiple video signals and timing signals from an external system and outputs video data, a gate control signal, and a data control signal; a peak brightness control unit which calculates peak luminance depending on an average picture level of the video data and calculates the correction peak brightness by correcting the peak luminance depending on the gray level distribution of the video data; a gate driving unit which generates a gate signal using a gate control signal; a data driving unit which generates a data signal using the correction peak brightness, the video data, and the data control signal; and a display panel which displays a video using the gate signal and the data signal. |
