SIMPLE BLOCK SPACE-TIME DIVERSITY USING PLURAL SPREAD CODES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission diversity system applicable to a CDMA communication system, with a simple structure and reduced manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A received signal includes first and second communication bursts. The first and second communication bursts are transmitted on different antennas from the same base station with the same time slot, to have the same data with the same sequence. A data detection unit is configured to process the received signal with a first channelization code associated with a first transmission antenna, to generate first data and also configured to process the received signal with a second channelization code associated with a second transmission antenna, to generate second data. The first and second data are the same data. The first and second channelization codes are mutually different, and are exclusively used for transmission through the first and second antennas.
