The invention relates to a method and apparatus for information transmission. The method for information transmission includes: confirm the time frequency resources used by the MIB of a serving cell, wherein the time frequency resources used by the MIB of a serving cell is different from the time frequency resources used by the MIB of a neighbor cell, and receive the MIB of the serving cell on the time frequency resources. The invention can effectively reduce or avoid the interference between the information from different cells for carrying information from different cells on the different time frequency resources, and as a result, the quality of information transmission and system performance are all improved. |
