<p>[Problem] To provide an acrylic copolymer having small orientation birefringence and small photoelastic birefringence, when molded into a film shape, and having excellent transparency and heat resistance. Also, to provide an optical film including said acrylic copolymer, and a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device comprising said optical film. [Solution] This acrylic copolymer includes as constituent units therefor: an N-alkylmaleimide unit; a (meth) acrylate alkyl unit; and a third constituent unit selected from a group comprising a constituent unit indicated by general formula (1), an acrylate cyclopentadienyl unit, a metacrylate cyclopentadienyl unit, a (meth) acrylate isobornyl unit, and a (meth) acrylate 4-tert-butylcyclohexyl unit. [In formula, R1 indicates a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R2 indicates an alkanediyl group, and R3 indicates an aryl group.]</p> |
