The invention relates to a display device with object-oriented stereo sound coordinate display, which outputs sound, in cooperation with the content of an object being displayed on the screen of the display device, from a speaker corresponding to the coordinates of the object, the speaker being one of a multiplicity of small speakers at the back of the display that constitute a matrix speaker system. In an embodiment of the invention, a display device equipped with a surround speaker system, a player for outputting an image and a display monitor comprises: a center channel decoder which receives audio corresponding to the center channel speaker among audios that are output from a surround decoder of the surround speaker system and which divides the audio into sound sources by object; a center channel matrix which sets coordinates for the sound sources having been divided by object through the center channel decoder; a matrix amp which amplifies the output sound of the speaker in response to each coordinate of the sound sources by object; and a multiplicity of speakers arranged in a matrix form at the back of the display monitor. |
