POWER MONITORING SYSTEM FOR CUTTING OFF THE STANDBY POWER USING USER'S POWER USAGE PATTERN

Provided is a power monitoring system capable of shutting off standby power according to the power usage pattern of a user. The power monitoring system includes; a monitoring unit which monitors power usage by electric devices installed in a certain space; a pattern collection unit which collects a power usage pattern by the electric devices of a user; a policy application unit which applies a policy on power usage priorities of the electric devices; and a control unit which controls shutting-off of standby power to be supplied to each electric device by at least one among time slot, day of week, date, and season based on the power usage pattern of the user collected by the pattern collection unit, power usage characteristics of the electric devices, and the priority policy from the policy application unit.
