The invention relates to a closure (1) for closing vessel openings (18), containing a first closure body (2) with a receiving opening (5) and a second closure body (3) with a closure member (12) for closing the vessel opening (18), and retaining elements (11a..11d) which adjoin the closure member (12) and are intended for engaging around the outside of a neck region (15) of the vessel opening (18). The first closure body (2) contains a press-on member (7) for pressing the retaining elements (11a..11d) against the neck region (15) of the vessel opening (18). The first closure body (2) has a pressurization region (6) which is opposite the receiving opening (5) and is intended for opening the closure (1) and via which the closure can be opened by exertion of a compressive force.
