<p>An aqueous leather coating composition with improved storage stability contains: 1-40 wt% of emulsifiable polyisocyanate including a reaction product of isocyanurate and an emulsifier (where an average isocyanate functional group of the emulsifiable polyisocyanate is 2 to 4.5); and 60-99 wt% of aqueous polymer dispersion having T_g at -70 to 40°C and selected from a (meth)acrylic polymer dispersion, a polyurethane dispersion, a (meth)acrylic polymer/polyurethane hybrid dispersion, and a combination having at least one of the above-described aqueous polymer dispersions (where wt% is all measured in a dry state, and is with respect to the total dried weight of the emulsifiable polyisocyanate and the aqueous polymer dispersions). The aqueous polymer dispersion may not have a hydroxyl group. Also, the present invention relates to a method for coating leather with the composition, and a leather article coated with the composition.</p> |
