<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for immobilizing microorganism, without inhibiting the attachment of the microorganisms and improving the inclusion effect of an aromatic compound by retaining cyclodextrin in the inside of particles, and a method for treating waste water by using the same. <P>SOLUTION: This carrier for immobilizing the microorganism is provided by gelling an aqueous liquid state composition containing an unsaturated group-containing urethane resin, a cyclodextrin polymer, a polymerization initiator and a water-soluble polymeric polysaccharide having a capacity of gelling on making a contact with a metal ion in an aqueous medium containing the metal ion, and then performing the photo-polymerization and/or thermal polymerization of the unsaturated groups in the obtained particle-formed gel, and the method for treating the waste water by using the same is also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
