[Also in Group XXXI] A sprocket-wheel for an endless-track vehicle comprises a hub 1 consisting of frusto-conical members 2, 3 which are connected to sprocket annuli 10, 10<SP>1</SP> by spokes 4 ... 9, 4<SP>1</SP> . . . 91, the apertures in the sprocket annuli being larger in diameter than the outer diameter of the hub whereby a continuous flowpath of large sectional area is formed for soil material to be driven by the endless band radially inward between the sprocket members and through the spaces between the arms and thence to be forced out by the convex sides of the hub through the apertures in the sprocket members. The hub may be asymmetrical, as shown, symmetrical, or it may comprise a single frustoconical member from the larger base of which the inboard sprocket is supported in a radial plane. The edge of each arm is bevelled in a direction towards the axis of the sprocket.
