The suction device (10) has device housing (12) in which an electrical control unit, a steam generator, a suction unit are arranged. The suction unit and a dirt collection unit (20) are arranged in housing lower portion (14) of device housing. The housing upper portion (16) is moved between closed and open positions at which dirt collecting unit is covered and released respectively. A suction port is arranged on housing upper portion and connected with opening of dirt collecting unit, in closed position of housing upper portion.
