A liquid crystal display and a method for driving the same are provided to implement good response speed particularly at the initial driving. A liquid crystal panel(10) comprises a thin film transistor substrate, a color filter substrate, and a liquid crystal layer inserted between these both substrates. A backlight unit(20) is comprised of the light guide plate or the light source of the acrylic matter. A sheet(30) is arranged so that the anger be uniformly delivered through the backlight unit to the liquid crystal panel. 3 infrared ray light emitting diode(LED) are installed at the circuit board(40). The different number of LED is installed in the lower and upper part of a sub circuit board(50). |
