BALLAST WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM USING IMPROVED SIDESTREAM PIPE

The present invention relates to a ballast water electrolytic treatment system using an improved side stream pipe. The ballast water electrolytic treatment system comprises: a main stream pipe; a draw-out pipe communicatively connected to the main stream pipe to draw out ballast water flowing in the main stream pipe; an electrolytic bath connected to the end of the draw-out pipe to receive the ballast water and generating sterilized water by electrolyzing the received ballast water; and a supply pipe for supplying the sterilized water generated from the electrolytic bath to the main stream pipe. The draw-out pipe can draw out the large amount of the ballast water even using a draw-out pump having the same capacity by comprising an inlet part formed in the opposite direction to the flowing direction of the ballast water flowing in the main stream pipe to allow the ballast water to enter therein. The supply pipe can increase the mixing efficiency of the ballast water and the sterilized water by comprising an outlet part formed in the same direction as the flowing direction of the ballast water flowing in the main stream pipe to spray the sterilized water to the main stream pipe.
