The present invention relates to a technique for providing the automatic activation of a time-shift operation in a digital broadcasting environment. More specifically, the present invention relates to a technique for preventing a user (viewer) from unintentionally passing by a broadcasting scene by previously setting various patterns of user operations which cause an obstacle to watching while a broadcast program is on the air, and automatically activating a time-shift operation when a user operation causing the obstacle occurs. According to the present invention, various patterns of user operations causing an obstacle to watching can be previously set while a broadcast program is televised so as to automatically activate a time-shift operation when a user operation causes the obstacle, thereby preventing a user from inadvertently missing a broadcasting scene. |
