Provided are a method and an apparatus to relocate a control image. The method to relocate a control image according to a moving direction of an object of interest comprises: a moving path setting step of receiving a moving direction of an object of interest, and generating an expected moving path of the object of interest according to the moving path; a camera searching step of searching for a camera capable of photographing the expected path; a camera direction identification step of determining whether the camera capable of photographing photographs the expected moving path of the object of interest; a camera control step of controlling the corresponding camera capable of photographing to photograph the expected moving path when the camera capable of photographing does not photograph the expected moving path; a camera arrangement step of generating an arrangement list according to the order of photographing locations on the expected moving path by comparing the expected moving path with a photographing location of the camera capable of photographing; and a control image screen construction step of relocating an image of the camera capable of photographing according to the order of the photographing locations based on the arrangement list.
