摘要 A visible light emitting diode (LED) light scattering apparatus 2 comprises a substantially hollow spherical cavity 5 including a light entry port 6 arranged to receive visible light from an LED 9 mounted outside the cavity 5. A light exit port 7 is located opposite the entry port 6 and through which the LED light exits the cavity 5 for analysis. A baffle 8 is located in a central region of the cavity 5 in a direct optical path between the entry port 5 and the exit port 6 to interrupt the passage of visible LED light between the entry and exit ports. The light exit port 6 may be optically coupled to an LED light analysis apparatus 4, which may be configured to determine optical properties of the LED light received from the light exit port 6. The cavity may comprise an internal cavity 5 inside a cylindrical body 10, with a resilient member (28, Fig 4) configured to maintain the body 10 in a stable configuration relative to the LED 9. An apparatus may comprise a plurality of LED light scattering apparatuses each having a body 10 mounted to a mount (27, Fig 5).
