Provided is a variable capacity type swash plate compressor. An actuator (13) is disposed in a swash plate chamber (33) to be able to rotate with a driving shaft (3). The actuator (13) includes a rotor (13a), a movable member (13b), and a control pressure chamber (13c). A control mechanism (15) includes a bleed passage (15a), a supply passage (15b), and a control valve (15c). The control mechanism (15) can change the pressure in the control pressure chamber (13c) to move the movable member (13b). A swash plate (5) is arranged between the movable member (13b) and a lug arm (49) so that the movable member (13b) is placed opposite to the lug arm (49).
