A hedgecutter is provided with a cutter bar 14 mounted on a boom operated by a hydraulic ram 4, the cutter bar 14 being rotated through an arc of 300-320 degrees by means of a double acting hydraulic ram 9 which operates a cable drum on which is mounted a cable 16 mounted on a drum 15 attached to the cutter bar. In a modification the ram 9 operates a lever on which is mounted cables which are connected to a chain passing over a sprocket wheel attached to the cutter bar. The cutter bar may be rotated from the ram 9 by means of a rack and pinion device. |
