A surgical stapling device (10) including an elongated body portion (14) having a proximal end and a distal end, and defining a longitudinal axis therethrough is presented. The surgical stapling device further includes a handle assembly (12) positionable adjacent the body portion at the proximal end thereof and an introducer assembly positioned at the distal end of the body portion. The introducer assembly includes a sleeve (16) positionable over at least a portion of a shell (31), the sleeve having a slanted distal end configured to receive a slanted membrane (17) thereon. |
