Polymer obtained by radical emulsion polymerization of (a) at least one acidic vinyl monomer or its salt, (b) at least one non ionic vinyl monomer, preferably a hydrophobic non ionic vinyl monomer, (c) at least one monomer comprising an unsaturated end group and one polyoxyalkylene part, (d) at least one cross linking monomer, and (d) optionally a protective colloid, is new. The polymerization is controlled so that the gel effect occurs at least temporarily, which is achieved by the monomer addition (dosing time) during 40 minutes, preferably 30 minutes. An independent claim is also included for a thickened preparation comprising the polymer. |
