The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device which includes: a liquid crystal panel; a data driving unit which is connected to a data line of the liquid crystal panel; a power converting unit which converts a first power voltage from a power supply unit into a second power voltage and outputs the converted voltage; and a power control unit which outputs a discharge control signal to supply a gate high voltage through a gate line and to supply a ground voltage level through a data line for N frame sections if the power source of the power supply unit is abnormally turned off.
