摘要 <p>The invention relates to a method for operating an electronic servo steering system of a motor vehicle, wherein by means of a steering handle a steering wheel angle is predetermined as a measure for a desired wheel steering angle for at least one steerable wheel of the motor vehicle, wherein a usage function provides a variable transmission ratio dependent on at least one vehicle-specific variable (vx,ds) between the steering wheel angel (ds) and the wheel steering angle by generating an additional angle by means of a determined target additional angle (dMd) to be set and by creating an input angle of a steering gear of the electronic servo steering system from a superposition of the steering wheel angle (ds) with the additional angle. The input angle of the steering gear is converted into the wheel steering angle for the at least one steerable wheel of the motor vehicle, and the respective target additional angle (dMd) to be set is determined based on the at least one vehicle-specific variable (vx,ds) as the input value from at least one characteristic line and/or at least one characteristic map by way of support points and/or by interpolation. The target additional angle (dMd) is determined using at least one approximation function (13, 14), which is continuous at least in the first two derivatives thereof and comprises at least one first vehicle-specific variable (ds) as the input variable.</p>
