The present invention relates to a filtering system for treating ballast water that is fed from a feeding pump of a ship. More specifically, water is fed in a body having an inlet and outlet by means of the inlet. Foreign materials are primarily filtered from the water. Ballast water that flows in the body is secondarily filtered. Then, the water is discharged through the outlet. The filtering system comprises: an automatic washing unit that washes foreign materials that are adhered on the filter; and a pressure sensor that measures the levels of pressure in the inlet and in the outlet. The filtering system can effectively treat ballast water, thereby reducing maintenance cost. By means of the primary and secondary filtering procedures, the inside of a ballast water tank can be prevented not only from harmful materials but also from secondary pollution. Also, the filtering system performs an automatic washing procedure even during operation. |
