Disclosed are a bicycle rental system using a smartphone and a bicycle rental method using the same, which comprises: a bicycle terminal which is installed in a bicycle station, has a stand for mounting a public bicycle and a stand locking unit for being selectively locked and unlocked from the stand, unlocks the stand locking unit when receiving bicycle rental approval information from a user terminal, and is installed in the public bicycle; and a management center which receives, stores, and manages the public bicycle rental approval request information or public bicycle return approval request information which is generated in the user terminal and transmits the public bicycle rental approval information or the public bicycle return approval information to the user terminal. The public bicycle rental approval request information and the public bicycle return approval request information comprises: membership information which is stored in the user terminal; identification information of a public bicycle to be rented or to be returned; and a user terminal location information. The identification information of a public bicycle is inputted through an input window which is provided through the touch screen of the user terminal. |
