Multi part connector for component connection in a construction set

A multi-part connector 10 for component connection in a construction set comprises a drum 11 and at least one annular flange 12 constructed separately from and connectible with the drum to extend around its circumference. The drum 11 is provided on its circumferential surface with at least one set of recesses 13 lying on a circular path around the drum circumference and the flange 12 is provided at its inner circumference with a plurality of projections 14 engageable in at least some of the recesses 13 of the set to detachably connect the flange 12 with the drum 11. If the drum 11 has several such sets of recesses 13 the flange 12 can be located in variable positions of the drum and/or one or more additional flanges can be fitted to the drum. Each drum 11 may be provided with additional connection means at each of its axial ends allowing connection of the drums with other flanges and multi-part connectors to form modular structures (see figure 4).
