PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for freezing fish bodies by which freezing work of fish bodies is facilitated in high energy efficiency, to provide frozen fish block, to provide a frozen storage method for the frozen fish block, to provide thawed frozen fish block, and to provide canned fish meat comprising the thawed frozen fish block. SOLUTION: The method for freezing fish bodies by which fish bodies housed in a net-like body are frozen into a block form, includes: housing a plurality of spindle fish bodies in the flexible net-like body having a number of holes not allowing the fish bodies to pass through; placing the net-like body on a metallic freezing pan to freeze the fish bodies; and removing the frozen fish bodies from the pan. The frozen fish block housed in the net-like body are frozen by the freezing method. The frozen storage method for the frozen blocked fish bodies is provided.
