The end cap (7) has two or more electrical contact bars (6) projecting from a base plate and extending parallel to each other in a longitudinal direction (L). A contact element (9) includes a conductor contact portion protruding from an end face of the end cap for contacting one of the contact bars of a current-carrying section (5), and a side contact portion (10) assigned to a side surface (11) of the end cap. The side contact portion includes a spring for applying a contact pressure by spring force, where the side contact portion is made of a metal sheet. An independent claim is also included for a current distribution arrangement.
