The present invention relates to a transgenic silkworm which produces a cocoon containing a bee venom-derived melittin antibiotic peptide and to a method for mass producing cocoons containing melittin antibiotic peptides using the same. More specifically, a recombinant expression vector which includes a gene construct is produced, wherein a marker gene regulating promoter, a marker gene, a silkworm-derived fibroin promoter, and a bee venom-derived melittin gene are mixed in order to be able to act; and a silkworm is transformed by means of the recombinant expression vector so that a transgenic silkworm which produces a cocoon containing melittin antibiotic peptide in silk can be produced. The transgenic silkworm produces the cocoon containing a large amount of melittin antibiotic peptides so as to be developed into a natural antibiotic agent which can be practically used as a livestock fodder additive and as a material for daily supplies such as cosmetics and toothpaste. |
