<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device and an input method for accurately detecting a three-dimensional position, a shape and velocity of a relatively small detection object present in a relatively short distance, and for performing input corresponding to detection result of the detection object. <P>SOLUTION: An input device comprises: an ultrasonic sensor unit 1A for transmitting an ultrasonic wave, and for receiving the ultrasonic wave reflected by a detection object; storage units 42a and 42b for recording information on the ultrasonic waves transmitted and received by the ultrasonic sensor unit 1A; and a control arithmetic unit 41 for calculating a position, a shape and velocity of the detection object by controlling the ultrasonic sensor unit 1A and the storage units 42a and 42b. The control arithmetic unit 41 records start sound received by the ultrasonic sensor unit 1A in the storage unit 42a, and compares reference start sound preliminarily recorded in the storage unit 42b with the start sound to operate the ultrasonic sensor unit 1A when both are matched. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
