<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of determining whether or not a toner storage part is a genuine product. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a toner container 46 for accommodating magnetic toner; an engine part 3 for forming an image on a sheet by utilizing the magnetic toner supplied from the toner container 46; a plurality of stirring members 461 for stirring the magnetic toner by rotating in the toner container 46; a cavity-shaped part 464 disposed on a tip of the stirring member, and having a cavity inside thereof; a magnetic permeability sensor 103 disposed outside the toner container 46 in the vicinity of a path where the cavity-shaped parts 464 moves, for detecting the magnetic permeability of the magnetic toner; and a determination part 92 for determining whether or not the toner container 46 is a genuine product on the basis of the magnetic permeability detected with the magnetic permeability sensor 103. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
