<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal aligning agent having excellent coating property, giving uniform and good film quality while preventing precipitation of a polymer even when subjected to continuous printing for a long period of time, and capable of easily peeling a once formed alignment layer. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal aligning agent contains at least one kind of polymer selected from a polyamic acid which is obtained by reacting a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride with diamine containing a specified compound represented by formula (A), and a polyimide group produced by dehydration and ring-closing of the polyamic acid. In formula (A), X represents *-O- or *-COO-, wherein a bonding hand with * is bonded to a diaminophenyl group; R represents methylene, 2-10C alkylene or 6-18C arylene; R<SP>I</SP>represents 1-6C alkyl; and n represents an integer of 0 to 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
