<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production object range setting device capable of optimizing an inventory and resolving a processing delay when a range of objects for which a production plan is to be prepared is set in a production process where steel plates are transported in discontinued processing and an inventory is retained immediately before each processing process. <P>SOLUTION: This production object range setting device selects target orders from among all the received orders in the order of an early delivery time the selected target orders correspond to a tapping quantity during a predetermined period (Step S11), sets an optimal inventory amount throughout the predetermined period in connection with the target orders on the basis of multiple object range determining parameters such as inventory situations, processing abilities and delivery dates of multiple types of steel plates (Step S12), by comparing the set optimal inventory amount throughout the predetermined period with an inventory amount of work-in-progress, modifies the selected amount of the target orders and sets the target range for which the plan is to be made (Steps S13 to S19). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
