A synchronous electric generator has a static exciting arrangement comprising an airgap choke connected on one hand to a terminal of the generator and on the other hand to a rectifier for the excitation current and a current transformer having a secondary winding connected in parallel with the air-gap choke and a second primary winding energized from a transductor controlled in dependence on the parameters of the current in the mains supplied by the generator. As shown, a field winding 15 of a generator 11 is energized, through a rectifier 14, in dependence on the line voltage through an air-gap choke 12 and in dependence on the line current from a secondary 20 of a current transformer 13. An auxiliary winding 21 of the current transformer is energized from a tapping on the choke 12 through a working winding 23 of a transductor 16. A control winding 22 of the transductor is energized through a rectifier 17 from a control device 18, responsive to the generator voltage, so as to maintain the generator voltage constant by inducing a voltage in the secondary 20 tending to reduce the current flowing through the field winding 15. The control device 18 may be additionally responsive to the power-factor of the generator output.</p> |
