<p>A method for notifying a congestion status in the wireless base station to a core network, said wireless base station being an access point that can be commonly shared among multiple user equipments (UE), said core network being a network that is operated by a network operator and comprising a mobility management entity a packet gateway PGW, a serving gateway SGW and a policy and charging rules function PCRF, wherein said core network further has implemented a policy and charging control PCC mechanism and a corresponding PCC signaling mechanism said method comprising :
providing said wireless base station with the capability to transmit a signal indicating a congestion status to said MME;
using said PCC signaling mechanism to forward a congestion notification indicating said congestion status from said MME to said PCRF or to said PGW.</p> |
