The present invention relates to a microbial fuel cell using a carbon thread, having the economical feasibility and efficiency of a microbial fuel cell enhanced by improving the material and shape of an electrode of the microbial fuel cell. The microbial fuel cell according to the present invention comprises an anode (110) for capturing electrons generated during the decomposition of the organic matters of microbes with carbon threads wound in the microbial fuel cell in the shape of a coil; a cathode (120) having carbon threads wound in the shape of a coil to be arranged above the anode and discharging electrons necessary for the reaction of protons and oxygen functioning as electron acceptors; and a circuit (130) including resistance to generate a voltage difference by connecting the anode and the cathode. The present invention enables a user to save costs for installing the electrodes of a microbial fuel cell in obtaining the same electricity and to produce a maximal amount of electricity per production cost by using, as electrodes, a material having a wider surface area than a carbon plate and lower production costs than carbon fabric.
|
