<p>The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing axitinib, which is known as N-methyl-2-[3-((E)-2-pyridin-2-yl-vinyl)-1H-indazol-6-ylsulfany l]- benzamide or 6-[2-(methylcarbamoyl)phenylsulfanyl]-3-E-[2-(pyridin-2- yl)ethenyl]indazole, or crystalline forms thereof, that protect axitinib from degradation, including photodegradation, as well as the therapeutic use of such compositions. The present invention also relates to novel photodegradants of axitinib.</p> |
