A multicomponent writing device comprises an elongate body (2) which has an outer peripheral surface (3) and is made from a mixture comprising a first base material with writing properties and a second base material dispersed in the first material and having binding properties. The second base material has a greater concentration toward the outer peripheral surface (3) to define an outer layer (4) that is stably associated with and inseparable from the elongate body (2) and is designed to protect the hands of the user, the elongate body (2) having a substantially pointed first end (5) with a greater concentration of the first base material designed for writing.
