The invention relates to an extrusion coating composition comprising an ethylene copolymer. The ethylene copolymer is obtained with a process wherein the polymerisation takes place in a tubular reactor at a peak temperature between 300°C and 35O°C and wherein the co monomer is a bifunctional .alpha., .omega.-alkadiene.
