A foundry moulding machine comprises a squeeze head and a mould box mounted for relative vertical reciprocation, a lower portion of the squeeze head having outer dimensions such that it can fit into the open upper end of the box and move up and down therein and a fluid backed flexible diaphragm secured to the underside of the squeeze head to form a squeezing surface.
